Helping You Move Better—On and Off the Court
Helping You Move Better—On and Off the Court

Strategy

1.Doubles Strategy (Same-Gender Teams)

Goal: Control the net, reduce unforced errors, and play smart, patient rallies.

Key Strategies:

Third Shot Drop: Use soft drops to advance both players to the non-volley zone (NVZ).

Team Movement: Move as a unit, staying side-by-side to avoid open gaps.

Dinking Battle: Engage in dinking to outmaneuver opponents and force errors.

Middle Control: Prioritize shots down the middle—“middle solves the riddle.”

Communication: Call shots clearly and support your partner with coverage.

2.Mixed Doubles Strategy

Goal: Leverage team strengths (often male power and female control, though roles can vary).

Key Strategies:

Stacking: Position stronger forehands in the middle through strategic stacking.

Role Optimization: Male player may cover more ground or take high balls; female player focuses on soft game, control, and resetting.

Protect the Kitchen: Both players must hold the line and be ready to dink patiently.

Avoid Predictability: Mix up shot selection—don’t always target one player.

Note: Success depends on mutual trust, clear roles, and not overplaying or underestimating either partner.

3. Singles Strategy

Goal: Control space and pace, be physically prepared, and minimize running through smart positioning.

Key Strategies:

Deep Serves & Returns: Push opponent back to control rallies from the baseline.

Net Rush After Return: Return and move quickly to NVZ to gain control.

Cross-Court Angles: Use wide cross-court shots to move opponent and create open court.

Fitness & Footwork: Maintain an athletic stance, anticipate, and recover fast.

Passing Shots & Drop Shots: Use passing shots or drop shots when opponent is out of position.
